Biomass materials are plants and other natural resources as raw materials. They are processed and manufactured into excellent performance, high value-added new materials by physical, chemical and biological technical means. The new materials have the characteristics of environmental friendliness, renewable raw materials, low-carbon environmental protection and so on. However, the raw materials used in traditional UV ink are all from chemical deep-processing products, which are non-renewable resources. Based on the concept of environmental protection and sustainable development, HTI Stock has independently developed photo-curable UV resins with high bio-based content using BIOMASS raw materials, and successfully developed LED UV BIOMASS series, MontAge α series and other high bio-based UV inks. The series of inks has been certified by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for high bio-base content and obtained the USDA certification label (biomass C14 content range of 26% to 32%), which is another major innovation in the field of environmentally friendly products. The successful development and batch using of this series of products greatly reduce the dependence of UV ink on non-renewable resources, and effectively reduce the carbon dioxide emissions during the whole life cycle of UV ink. Moreover, this series of inks are suitable for high-speed presses equipped with energy-saving curing systems configuration LED-UV. This promoted to achieve the goal of "carbon peak, carbon neutral".
